Welcome to the Orphans Group!

Hi and welcome to the MASAOG homepage! MASAOG is the Marine Aquarium Society of Australia - Orphans Group, a subgroup of the umbrella organisation MASA. The Orphan Group is a society that brings together remote or isolated marine aquarists, otherwise known as reefers, from across Australia. Currently we have members in SA, NSW, QLD, the ACT, the NT, WA and TAS.

Considering that some of us Orphans reside at least a couple of hundred kilometres from our next closest member, the majority of our business is conducted online. We hold monthly "Virtual Meets" online using the real time chat program mIRC. At these meets we discuss and agree to act on any ideas or suggestions that have been raised in our very own forum, the MASAOG Members forum on RTAW.

Reefing The Australian Way (RTAW) is a forum based discussion group where like minded reefers meet and discuss all aspects of keeping and maintaining a home marine aquarium.
